How we align to standards
We write each lesson against a published set of standards and we tell you which ones. Here is exactly what that claim means — and what it does not.
What “aligned to” means
We read a published standard, then write or choose a lesson that helps a student work toward it. The lesson lists the framework it was written against, so you can check it against your own pacing.
What it does not mean
It does not mean a standards body reviewed, approved, or endorsed our lessons. We are not affiliated with any of them. “Aligned to” is a claim we make about our own work, not a stamp from someone else.

Where the content comes from
Original or verified public domain — nothing else
We publish only our own original work or works we have verified are in the public domain, hosted as the exact public-domain edition. We do not post copyrighted material, and we do not post a modern copyrighted version of an old text. If we cannot confirm the exact edition, we hold the lesson back rather than guess.
People write and review these lessons. We do not use any automated text generator to write the material a student reads. If we ever add optional study help for students, it will be off until we turn it on and have checked it — never on by default.
