Free School Curriculum

Free, standards-aligned lessons for K–12 classrooms.

Open a lesson, print it or assign it, and teach. Every lesson here is free to use, written against published standards, and built from our own original work or texts we have verified are in the public domain. No account, paywall, third-party advertising or tracking scripts, or behavioral profile; basic short-lived operational logs may record page requests.

Supplementary material to use alongside your core program — not a replacement for it.

A lesson

Reading & writing · Grades 6–8

Reading a primary source

A guided worksheet for sourcing, close reading, and questioning any primary-source document. Aligned to CCSS and the C3 Framework.

Every lesson names its grade band, its subject, and the standards it is aligned to.

How it works

Plain and honest

Free to use

Open any lesson and use it in your classroom. No account or paywall, no third-party advertising or tracking scripts, and no behavioral profile. Basic short-lived operational logs may record page requests. If you want to chip in to keep it going, that is optional — see Support.

Standards-aligned, honestly

Each lesson lists the published standards it is written against. We say “aligned to” — we do not claim any standards body has reviewed, approved, or endorsed our materials.

Honest about the source

We publish only our own original work or works we have verified are in the public domain. If we cannot confirm the exact public-domain edition, we hold the lesson back rather than guess.
